How to Install JetBackup on AlmaLinux
Prerequisites
- Operating System: AlmaLinux (ensure it's a compatible version for JetBackup).
- Access Level: Root or sudo privileges.
- Control Panel: Ensure cPanel/WHM is installed on your server.
- JetBackup License: Obtain one if required.
- Network Requirements: Ensure your server can connect to the JetApps repository.
Step-by-Step Installation Guide
Step 1: Update Your Server
Update your server packages to ensure compatibility with JetBackup. Run the following command:
sudo yum update -y
Step 2: Enable JetApps Repository
Download and enable the JetApps repository by running:
curl -o /etc/yum.repos.d/jetapps.repo https://repo.jetlicense.com/jetapps.repo
Step 3: Install JetBackup
Use the package manager to install JetBackup:
sudo yum install -y jetbackup
Step 4: Activate JetBackup
After installation, activate JetBackup in WHM:
- Log in to WHM.
- Navigate to JetBackup under the Plugins section.
- Follow the prompts to complete the activation.
If the license is not automatically detected, manually enter your JetBackup license key.
