Hosting for Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung and Bali
Indonesian online businesses range from Jakarta start-ups to Bali agencies and tourism operators whose customers are mostly overseas. For those with an international audience a European server is not a disadvantage; for a purely domestic shop it is a trade-off, which we explain plainly below.
Our day runs 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM Jakarta time, so the afternoon and early evening in Indonesia are covered by a live team.
What Indonesian teams run on HostConnect
Tourism, villas and hospitality in Bali and beyond
Booking and brochure sites aimed at visitors in Europe, Australia and the Gulf — the audience is overseas, so a European location suits them.
Online stores and marketplaces
WooCommerce on a VPS with dedicated CPU and RAM when you outgrow shared hosting and need predictable checkout speed.
Agencies and developers
KVM VPS with root SSH for custom apps and Docker, plus cPanel Cloud Servers with unlimited accounts for client sites.

An Indonesian host or international hosting?
Choose an Indonesian provider if your visitors are almost all in Indonesia and speed on uncached requests is the priority, or if your business has to meet data-handling rules for electronic systems that call for local hosting. Indonesia has a personal data protection law (UU PDP) and registration rules for electronic system operators — confirm what applies with your adviser.
Choose international hosting if your audience is global or regional, or you want enterprise NVMe hardware with real root access at a dollar price.
What we run — servers in Germany and Finland, which are a long way from Indonesia. LiteSpeed caching and a CDN for static files help, but we have no Indonesian data centre.
Local domain extensions — .id and .co.id are the usual choices for a Indonesian audience. Use the domain search to see which extensions are available; country extensions can carry eligibility rules set by their registry.
Indonesia hosting FAQs
Our servers are in enterprise data centres in Germany and Finland (Hetzner infrastructure). We do not run servers inside Indonesia. If every visitor is local and the lowest possible latency is the only thing that matters, a host with a local data centre will serve that case better; if your audience is regional or international, or you need real root access and enterprise NVMe hardware at this price, our servers are the stronger choice.
You can pay by international debit or credit card, direct bank transfer, or cryptocurrency. Invoices are issued in US dollars, so your bank or card issuer converts from the Indonesian rupiah (IDR) at its own rate — there is no converted price to change between basket and payment.
Yes. Send us your current hosting login and our team moves your files, databases and email accounts across at no cost. We test everything on our servers first and only change your DNS once the site is confirmed working.
Cached pages load quickly from anywhere. Uncached actions — a checkout, a logged-in dashboard — take longer than they would from a Jakarta server. If your visitors are mostly domestic and the site is dynamic, a local host is the better choice; if they are overseas or the site is mostly content, you will not notice.
No — invoices are in US dollars, and your bank or card issuer converts from rupiah. Cards need to be enabled for international online payments; bank transfer and cryptocurrency are alternatives.
